When my daughter was about 4 or 5 we were at Chicken Shack at Acadian. The Southern game was on and she started chanting "LSU! LSU!" (the only team she knew.) Every head in that place turned and stared.

Massive concussion when i was 12, was going to cut top of my skull off in hospital in am, then did xray and swelling went down. Thank you fricking street stakes. Didnt know how bad I was until years later. I have had about 5 major concussions.
When I was 11 I had rope tied around neck to go caving and it got caught in tire of car and almost took my head off. I got off a yell just in time.
Hit by 18 wheeler on overpass when I was 13, almost pushed us over. etc etc
I have an almost killed deal every year man.

Leaving the beach with my kids when an obese family starts walking (ok, waddling) up from the parking lot. My oldest caught sight of them and pauses. I could see the words forming in her head. And right when she said "Dad, they're...", I get out a firm "Don't say it".
