Owners taking a $2M bath - ouch.

quote:

Moonbeam Capital Investments, a Las Vegas-based company, bought the mall in 2013 for $6 million—then a bargain—with the hopes of bringing it “back to life.”

Now the property is listed for $4 million. The anchors, which were not part of the original deal, are not included in this sale either, as they are tenant-owned. Beau Box of Beau Box Commercial Real Estate and Mike Bristol of Henry S. Miller in Texas are the brokers.

I'll buy it, tear it down, and build a Top Golf. Any investors?

I can't tell if I just think malls are becoming obsolete just because I'm getting older or they really are becoming obsolete due to e-shopping.

I'd be willing to bet that, if it actually sells, it will be for far less than the $4m asking price.

Damn. I hope that they preserve a few of the Urban Clothing stores.

I'm buying it then I'm hitting up some TV networks and negotiating with Angola to make a real life version of The Running Man.

Anybody here want to get in on this with me?

I am glad my grandparents are not alive to see this. It was the highlight of their golden years to go and spend Saturday evenings in the mall people watching.

An OT Baller should buy this and have municipalities and non-profits set up classes and trainings for at-risk/juvenile non-adults to learn basic workplace skills.

When it doesn't work you now have proof that providing training and nurturing an adolescent doesn't make them want to be out of gangs and stop robbing people.

This is Gravy's big opportunity. He was bitching about how they have to go to the white folk mall. Now he can create the biggest blackest mall in all of creation.

You're really paying 5 million for the land but getting a 1 million dollar discount because you have to dispose of the mall already there.

I don't know if anyone is gonna drop the coin to demolish that thing.

The property would be a good place for a zoo.

This guy is thinking.

Don't even have to worry about lead, asbestos, or mercury abatement either.
