Concerning the use of "et cetera"

Dammit. I'm sick and tired of people who spell it "ect".

Look at the phrase "et cetera". There is no "ect" in there - it begins with "et c". The proper abbreviation is "etc." Every time you spell it "ect" America gets one step closer to communism.

And if you don't like it, GFY, DIAF, etc.

Now, "supposably" is an entirely different thing.

Me neither, but I have heard a ton of people pronounce it as if it were ect. The say "eck-cetera."
