Where do i go to sign on?
Turf war between DOTD - Army corps eng and others is what has delayed this for 30 yrs. most peeps who got less than 3 ft in central would not have flooded. We have been paying taxes to build it for 20 years. Where is the money? I want my pound of flesh.

Good luck on your fools errand.

Makes me a happy man that I moved out of that taxing district and avoided the 3 feet of water in my old house.

Sue who for NOT building something?
If you're that concerned about it now, then perhaps you should have not moved into the area until after the canal was built.

Blame the bloated La DOTD. Most dysfunctional and overstaffed place on country.

Uhhh if you pay someone to build your house and after 20yrs they have only cleared the lot... I think you have grounds to sue.

Dumb!

Now they have proof of damages resulting from neglect. The only thing left is for a court to decide where the neglect falls. The money was there and COLLECTED (taken) from those flooded.

Correct. Someone promised me flood protection, collected the money but did not provide the service.

Again... My house was not in a flood zone and had never flooded so how did i make a bad decision. I bet my house it at a highr elevation than some of these smart asses posting
