We hosted a baseball tournament my junior year and after our game against Austin Westlake a few friends and I were talking to a couple of guys from the Westlake team and we mentioned we were going to CiCi's and invited them along. One of the guys had what we thought was eyeblack but turned out to be this 2 inch long fur patch type birth mark or mole on his cheek but was a really nice guy. Being as we were in high school and super mature we would refer to the birthmark/mole mockingly for the next couple of weeks or so until it got old.
Flash forward a couple years and I'm in my dorm room at Kirby Smith watching a Purdue football game and they cut to a shot of the new Sophomore QB from Austin Westlake warming up and there was the kid with the mole. I couldn't believe it.
That kid now has the record for most yards in an NFL season and a Super Bowl and will be in the Hall of Fame someday. Oh and a couple hundred million dollars. I don't have any of those things. I like telling that story to kids who get picked on.
