First of all you didn’t pay attention to O during his time at LSU especially as interim. Dude supposedly drank 8 monsters a day.
It’s obvious why blue collar dudes prefer an energy drink. It’s cold. They’re working outside or in hot situations and don’t want a hot coffee. Office people are in a cold environment.
Low man blue collar workers pound energy drinks because they were up all night drinking. Upper tier blue collar guys are more likely to have their shite together and drink coffee. If your sample is seeing the guys stop at circle K in the morning then your lens is skewed.
Convenience stores generally draw the bottom of the barrel in any walk of life.

It’s hot better than 9 months out of the year in Louisiana, even in the mornings. You can’t pound down hot coffee like you can a coke drink. Even slowly sipping hot coffee anywhere other than a well AC’d office sucks.

First coffee at the office around 8:30. Two cups last until 1ish.
3 oclock, sugar free monster.
In the middle of all of that, I'm drinking at least a bottle of water an hour.
Most days I'm just staring at 4 monitors, my phone, an ipad, and typing.
Get home for 7. Work around the house or play with the kiddo until 10. Breakfast, lunch, dinner all at once.
Bed by midnight.
Repeat.
