Clinical trials for Alzheimer's vaccine may be ready in 2-3 years

Researchers from South Australia's Flinders University have been working with US counterparts at the Institute of Molecular Medicine and University of California to develop the vaccine, which targets proteins in the brain that block neurons.

Shame my grandmother will most likely not be around to get it but at least it's on the way, this disease is a nightmare.

If only. If you used a clock as a judge about disease progress, my dad is, right now, at about 8:00 pm on the Alzheimer's clock. Not a lot of time left to spend with 'him'. Terrible disease. My dad was awesome, both as a father, a husband and as a grandfather. Nobody should have to go out not even knowing his family around him.
