Has anyone repainted their stucco to change the color? I know you can't use regular exterior paint unless you plan on painting every couple years. It has to a coating that is breathable, which is offered by companies like Rhinosheild or Mid-South Coatings. Anybody know the cost per square foot? Company recommendations is appreciated as well. TIA.

Negative chief. Typically stucco is not painted in new construction. The color is in the finish coat of the stucco.

I have seen it painted at the end plenty of times. Especially on commercial applications where there are a variety of colors going on the building.

No it's not. The color is integrated into the final coat

Never herd of repainting the skim coat. Maybe recoating with synthetic stucco would work?

I'm sure you have seen it plenty of times. But on the majority of new construction it is not painted. Why? Because it's a waste of money.

I understand that but the OP makes it sound like it's impossible to do. It isn't and it does happen. There is also no need for crazy expensive "specialty" paint to do it.

The color at the end of stucco is just a paint with crushed marble in it. It has an elastic base to hide cracks that develop. Stout is right, just paint it. Get a nappy roller and exterior latex paint.
