I heard about this yesterday. I agree with TigerFan. IF this was to happen I would gladly move my happy arse out of state and forget I knew LSU existed. One way to squash this nonsense bullshite is have Shaq make a statement. I'm sure he will disagree how "hard" it was to attend LSU. Look at the NFL today. How many "black" athletes who ATTENDED LSU are in it? Guess Virginia Slims will be next. Prejudice to obese people?? Somebody needs to draw a line!!!

This is one of those issues, like the Star Spangled Banner, where yes, there is an argument to be made that it's origins may contain some ugly historical roots.
BUT, it's purpose and present function is not in anyway perpetuating those things, it's not glorifying them, and it's usage is completely de-coupled from any of the harmful components that are being criticized from long ago.
Short version: It's stupid.
