Chances of Elio Motors making it to production.

No doubt the chances are stacked against startups like this and they have been able to keep lots of interest and hype.
I know production delays have been mainly due to lack of funding, so what are the chances this gets off the ground? It seems like a viable idea. Really would like to see this project take off.

They'll make it at some point. Doubt they ever get popular or stay in production

No way in hell they get the extra $160mil they need to start production.
They have already been hit with fines by the company that owns the old GM plant because they did not meet the staffing level requirements by them.
I couldnt give two shits about the car, but the idea is pretty much gone and forgotten around Shreveport.

It was a great idea but it doesn't look good for them at this point

I'd estimate less than 10%.

Would think there could be enough O&G millionaires up that way to take a risk. Although I understand it to be a great risk.

Not in the U.S. Maybe in Europe but with gas prices relatively low, I doubt there's a lot of interest in a micro-car.

Never, especially when you pick Pep boys to be your authorized service shop including warranty work.

Same shite he did in Pontiac, Michigan. Promised to reopen plant, took non refundable deposits.
Wonder where he will pop up next pushing for more deposits.

It's not like they made some genius financial moves to become millionaires.
