This is a total hit piece. Obviously by an anti-hunting author.
Lions are hunted either statically, by hanging bait from a tree then hiding nearby, or by stalking. According to Zimbabwean conservationists, hunting by bow and arrow is on the increase because is it silent and therefore those hunting illegally or unethically are not detected by the authorities.
The guy paid to shoot a lion with a bow. He did that. I don't see the problem. Unless it is in fact illegal to kill a lion with a collar and he was aware of that, there is really nothing to talk about.

Is he going to eat that lion???? I've been hunting and fishing my entire life and don't like this. It helps the population? What did they ever do without us shooting them? Idu what goes on there but it seems shitty. As much as I looooooove hunting, if I had the chance to go to Africa it would not be to kill big cats. Only safari like trips to marvel at them.

This is bullshite, if the big bad hunter wanted to kill a lion with his bow he should have stalked a truly wild lion not a "tame" one that is used to humans and lives in a protected park. Assholes like this mess up legit hunting all over the world.

He poached the lion. He didn't have a permit to do it. It was an illegal hunt.
