Car recently totaled n can't find title. Original needed to receive settlement?

Or will a duplicate be sufficient? If so what's the process to get one? Thanks!

Walk in to local dmv or dmv express with ID, proof of insurance and cash.

Order a duplicate title from the DMV. You can pay extra to have it expedited, don't know if you can get one on the spot tho.

Happens more than you'd think.
