Car Insurance is unpredictable- Women vs. Men

I'm a decent driver. But I own a newer sports car (value ~50K-depreciation). I'm also 31, have a job and have a decent driving record.
I've had claims but none at fault in last five years. I've had speeding tickets overturned. Moving violations thrown out of court. I've had a run of good luck.
I carry 1M/1M, with $100 deductible for comp and collision. Max med pay, rental insurance, etc.
My quote through Geico: $600 every 6 mo.
GF is 28: 06 Camry, 250/500, $500 deductible, every else identical, one accident three years ago.
Her quote is $660.
I told her women rate as poor drivers She is not pleased. It's just a matter of when, not if they run into somebody.

A month? That can't be right. I pay around that for six months of coverage.

This ought to make your gf feel better.
I carry the minimum state allowable coverage in LA for a financed car. 500 deductible/UM/rental car. O claims or tickets in the past 7 YEARS.
24y male, 2 door sports car valued at 20k after depreciation. $286 a fricking month.
Goddamn joke and yes it does piss me off

Good God man, I pay less than $700 a year for similar coverage, as the Camry, for two cars. Highlander limited and Camry.

Well, you were right.
But the accident is why she's paying more than you...most car companies I've talked with go back 5 years on accident history.

I know your pain. I'm 25 and have a 4 door GTI and pay $185/month with 0 accidents or tickets ever. That's $10 less than what I pay on my fricking car itself. frick that!

600 a month???
Holy shite. I pay less than that for 6 months. And I have full coverage.
