Do you need an ophthalmologist or an optometrist

They won't help you with this.

I go to Adam Martin, OD at the Baton Rouge Clinic. Seems to do right by me.

We told you not to stare at the sun.

You don't need an eye doctor because that shite's permanent. What you need now is a dog and a cane. Ironically, you also need a pair of dark sunglasses so you don't weird the rest of us out.

So for real though... what if I glanced at the sun during the peak "time" for, lets say, for a total of 5 seconds... what could the possibility for damage be? Am I just being paranoid thinking that my eye sight is fricked up already?

You wouldn't know anything until tomorrow morning. Most damage heals itself within a few months.

If you just glanced at it, your probably fine

You generally won't see the end result of any damage for a good 12 to 24 hours

I can recommend a really great ophthalmologist who specializes in retina surgery but, after today, it might be 2024 before you can get an appointment.
