Multiple pages and no one has answered the OP lol.
The answer is yes, of course there is a taste difference, this is why you add salt to the dry ingredients when baking, because you want that taste of salt, but you want to control the amount, so you use unsalted butter and add your own salt. Whereas if you used that unsalted butter on your toast, it would taste like shite, unless you added salt.
Fat needs salt for flavor.

I use unsalted to make my roux for gumbo so it doesn't burn. I get all the salt I need from the sausage and stock.

For some reason this thread makes me think about when I was a Freshman at Princeton in Biology class, the professor was discussing the sugar make up of human sperm and this dumb blonde stands up and says "if sperm is sugar, why does it taste so salty" I immediately asked her out for drinks .
Don't know why I thought of that story here.

My wife bakes and several of her recipes call for unsalted. Why? I haven't a clue. I just eat what she bakes without question.
If you're baking something sweet, especially if it only has a handful of ingredients to go along with the butter, you want unsalted. It makes a difference in the taste.

When on a keto diet it gets tough eating enough fat. It sounds crazy but believe me...its rough. I put a chunk of butter in coffee and blend it in. It's delicious.
