It's a better device. The only differences between the S4 and the S5 are all stupid gimmicks IMO

I'd get the LG G2 over the S5

Which one do you have? I believe a lot of iPhone 5's shipped with batteries that weren't up to snuff. I replaced mine last month and instead of the battery dying at 2:30 PM, I've been putting it on the charger at 10:30 PM with ~50% still left.

As for the random bugs, are they OS level bugs, or are they app level bugs?

ETA: The new HTC One is an awesome phone.

Already the default on Kitkat, even though the messaging app is still there.
