In 2013 there were 10,076 US citizens killed by drunk drivers. In contrast there were 44 US citizens killed by active shooters. Of the 1,149 traffic deaths among children ages 0 to 14 years in 2013, 200 (17%) involved an alcohol-impaired driver. Of the 200 child passengers ages 14 and younger who died in alcohol-impaired driving crashes in 2013, over half (121) were riding in the vehicle with the alcohol-impaired driver.

As a result of these overwhelming statistics, I propose a ban on high capacity liquor, or assault liquor as we'll call it. The definition will include any beverage with alcohol content over 6%. This will include bourbon, scotch, vodka, gin, wine and rum. Why on earth would anyone need assault liquor?

No such thing as an assault liquor.

It's a made up term.

I drive PERFECTLY fine up to about .13 BAC. Any wreck I get in below that will NOT be because of alcohol.

And stick any youtubes of News reporters drinking a few shots and then driving around a parking lot hitting cones RIGHT UP YOUR UPPITY MADD ANUS.

This is stupid because it is illegal to drink and drive just like murder is illegal.

There are millions of people that drink responsibly just like there are millions of responsible gun owners.

The point you're trying to make is silly at best.

While the numbers don't lie, I bet you thought this would be a hooha circle jerk of agreement.

You thought wrong.

No, actually I'm actually using the gun control argument against a different group, including many of the gun control advocates. Who's to say if they win the gun arguement why wouldn't they go after alcohol?

+-12,000 people killed by firearms in 2013. I guess they weren't all "active shooters", whatever that means.

Weak troll.
