Calling OT vets

My lab-pit mix has these episodes about every couple months or so where he gags, licks everything, dry heaves, and his mouth waters uncontrollably (everything he touches gets soaked). This lasts for a day or 2 then he is fine. My wife took him to the lsu emergency vet the first couple times and they did x-rays and physical exams but found nothing. His annual exams/tests are always normal. Any suggestions? TIA

That's what she thinks too. Im trying to prevent major vet bills. She bought grain free food, thinking that might do it.

My wife is a vet tech and she said it could be any number of things from a bad tooth to heart worms etc. Bringing him to LSU was a good move, I would trust whatever info they gave you. Good luck with the pup! I'm sure the lab/pit mix is beautiful. Post some pics!

Drinking binge?
But really, good luck. I've had problems with my kitten's stomach. Moaning, occasional puking, no clue what to do. What brand of food are u giving yours? I'm hoping getting my kitten fixed helps.

I'm not technologically savy enough to post a pic. She said he's on wellness core grain free food. I really have no clue about where she gets it, all the animals are on a new diet every week between her and my mother.
