I am that happy posted it also on F&D. But this is probably the best thing that has happened in a while to that area. Opening where Rotolos and The Dive Bar were.

Bud's will be a welcomed option to the Raul burger with the onion burps

Haven't been in that area in years but lived in Tigerland in the late 90s. What is Bud Broiler?

Burger chain out of New Orleans that's been around forever, but never has gone north of their short-lived LaPlace location. Famous for their bbq sauce. All of their burgers are cooked over charcoal. It's the perfect cheap amazing smokey burger. Get the one with chedder and smoked sauce.

My dad is obsessed with Bud's. We used to stop there virtually every time we'd go to Ndw Orleans. This location will be along his commute to and from work as well as a perfect location to meet him before baseball games. We will be regulars.

They have a walk-up concept, as well as drive thru and with it being physically on Nicholson damn they will clean up.

Cool. I'll have to try it. There's a Lee's on Sherwood which is apparently popular in the NOLA area and I wasn't impressed.

I ate there once. Decent burger, but I don't see what the fuss is about, honestly.

I don't think they're overrated at all because Bud's is not something that people rave about all the time.
The restaurants are unassuming mom and pop-type looking places. Buds has quietly existed in and around New Orleans since the 50s. Given the food competition in the New Orleans area, that means they do something extremely well. They make a great hamburger (I don't even get the hickory sauce or whatever, but have had it and it's good too).

#6 with cheese fries or chili cheese fries (both of which are awesome) and a Barqs Root Beer. Great every time.

When you ate there had you been drinking? Yeah personally its not the best burger out there, but at 3 or 4am its a hell of a lot better than anything fast food near it, which is the only thing usually open.
