Does anyone here participate in the adult league in BR? I am looking to get involved and trying to see how it would be. What is the experience level of players throughout the league? I haven't played in a few years, but I think I can still hold my own.
TIA

Would not recommend.

Awful league, awful venues, awful people.

el gaucho and I ran some ball a few years back.

We're pretty white, and got dunked on with impunity.

i'm definitely in the "white boy" category and that's kind of how i figured it would go. i just want to get out and play some ball. any other suggestions on leagues around here? or even pickup games that are easy to get involved in?

If you are talking about the league that plays at Team Sportsplex, the skill level is good but not great. It's about what you would expect from an adult basketball league.

You can contact the coordinator of the league who can send your info along to the captains. I do not play in the league myself but I have seen them play while I was at TSP.

I wanted to ball but one of those jokers nailed my basketball shoes to the court when I was in the bathroom and I couldn't get any ups in my penny loafers from work

if you are just looking for pick up games, the manship YMCA is a good spot. Team Sportsplex also has some open play nights but you'll have to call them to find out when those nights occur.

The Brec league breaks teams up into divisions based on skill level and experience so there's good competition at every level. You may have some former college/pros in the top division, and older guys and players with little organized experience in the lower divisions. Typically 30-35 total teams, 6-8 in each division.
