Rare exception to the general rule

eh we may be getting to that point, but as a general rule it's still probably still more likely to be an unhinged "normal" person than terrorism.

It appears to be a bakery shop on the signage that bakes middle east goods...take it for what it is worth. No it appears to be the business next door to Tony's bakery.

Ok, lots going on...the feed I am watching makes it appear the bakery but I could be wrong too.

Possibly a "white latino".

Over 33,000 people died from firearm related incidents in 2013 (latest year I could find). Tell me again how I'm being naive by not automatically going to the terrorism angle?

I just ruled out Tony's bakery because I saw "customers" walking in and out of the building and I saw two employees walk outside like what is going on.

Honestly, it wouldn't shock me that terrorists would start "thinking outside the box" as far as who they attack and where. They live and breath off of fear, and to get the general populous feeling that no place is safe is a huge win on their part.

Just the idea of vehicles driving into a crowd on the side of the road as a form of attack is kind of brand new and terrifying.

I wouldn't be surprised to see terrorists start staging their attacks to appear as if it's being done by the alt - right and white men. Terrorists thrive on chaos and confusion and this would be an effective way to cause it.

There are limitless possibilities to do harm to large numbers of people in this country.

I'm really surprised it took so long to see these sort of "attacks of convenience" or attacks on soft targets start to rise.

Thankfully, we have the resources, combined with a presently manageable # of likely Islamists, such that the risk is lower here.

Have they said anything about the shooter being apprehended or killed? Usually if it's a domestic incident the shooter kills himself, right?

They said not an active shooter and the scene is secure, now an investigation, so shooter is either/or.

The sheriff's office calls the situation "contained and stable," says CNN affiliate TV station WFTV. Police are not searching for an active shooter, the station says.

My biggest fear for a simple, but highly damaging attack would be for a few groups to show up at malls during beginning of Christmas shopping season and kill a bunch of people.
