No. Closed by their own national organization.

You're right. I read it as IFC, but just retread it and it was in fact nationals who revoked the charter for 3 years... With LSU's support.

Edited the OP.

Be sure to thank EX's chapter advisor for this event. Without him this wouldn't have happened.
This is his wet dream.

As a related aside.....that BS story WAFB ran was over the top sensationalism. To try to connect the on campus incidents to a transfer-in kid who overdosed on heroin at his off campus apartment was horrendous. Shame on you WAFB!

So a member overdoses on drugs, and then it's found out that drug use was pretty wide spread in the fraternity. I don't see how that's sensationalist.

How has everyone on the old row been kicked off except for the Dekes?

I wonder if EX is going to lose their house to a sorority row frat or one that is not currently on campus. Looks like if they were doing heroin, they moved up since I was there.

Wow

No shite. Back in the eighties and nineties; these dudes were ruthless. Awesome to hang out and chill with but they never gave a frick!

But things were different than. No one ratted for being hazed. You'd go in, take your beating, and go home.

No, the actives were warned many times and simply failed to do what they promised they would do. Doing drugs in the house bad enough, but when you knew it was being filmed by cameras placed in the house is ridiculous! We're lucky to have alumni who care enough about the Chapter and all of those who helped make Gamma Iota the great Chapter that it is.

True. But you'd think after an active member ODs, and the school has you literally under the microscope, they'd have the wherewithal to do it elsewhere.

Do schools go after frats because they're mostly well off white kids having fun?
