My 7 year old boy can ball out on the court and baseball diamond, makes straight As and can twinkle the ivory like Beethoven jr. My 4 year old girl can whoop his arse.

My one year old can now pull himself up on things regularly and can use things to walk! Very close to those real first steps!

Awesome! Now you'll miss the days when he wasn't mobile and you didn't have to chase him around trying to keep him out of trouble.

Let's see....

My 6 yr old daughter is reading on a 4th grade level and is about the most pure hearted person I've ever met. She's a great little artist who loves to paint and is very passionate, giving 100% effort in anything she does.

My son who just turned 13 is a good, well mannered kid who always goes out of his way to be kind and helpful to others. He's a standout athlete on the JV football team and the best hunting partner I've ever had. He's also an talented modeler.

He's christian, understands what it meant, and asked us if he could do it.

This is a genuine question...why would you be proud of your child for a decision you made for him? Wouldn't you be proud of yourself?

Or is this an older child who made this decision on his own?

Do you even Catholic bro?

Might have wanted to include that...most people associate getting baptized with infants, which would make being proud of that kind of strange.

Also...what's up with whoever seems to run around downvoting every post in every thread? Does someone literally have that much time on their hands that they can make that a pasttime?

Tbh, this is my 7 year old. He's not like your normal kid that age. Purely his ideas.

I used to Catholic, champ...what's your point?

Babies get baptized...infants. Who would be proud of a baby for laying there having water poured on their noggin, regardless of its meaning? You feel pride in another when they do something...not when you do something to them.

That's why I asked. He clarified that the kid was older and decided on his own. Makes more sense that way.

My 7 year old is in GT program. He was reading the instructions off of the overhead projector in Kindergarten, so the teacher took him out of the classroom to test him. He was reading at a 6th grade level.
