I worked in the Nightclub market for ~20 years in BR and LFT and I tell you that club owners are some of the worst decision makers.

Nightclubs as they were in the 80s and 90s will never work around here again. There are way too many bars these days that spread drinking people thin and quite frankly people just don't dance anymore.

Add to that the clientele has changed. People wear T-Shirts and the whole guido/T-Boy/Roid/CrossFit crew is all over the place now. Most normal people (women especially) don't want to put up with that crowd.

You can also say that everyone now wants to be a DJ. We used to demand and make WAY more money for properly DJing a Club. Now a $100 DJ comes in, plays terrible radio music, keeps the sheep grazing and gangsta shite. People get in fights etc etc.

No way in hell would I open a dance club in BR or LFT these days.

With the excess of bars I think the patience of people to wait in a line for 20 minutes to get into a club with 8 people in it has worn thin as well.

If your "club" has more dress code rules than my job just to get in and listen to house music all night and pay 18 dollars for a drink, I'll take my business elsewhere
