I just finished The road and Unbroken which were recommended by some posters on this site.
The Road. This may be the biggest piece of garbage I have ever read. From the very first page I wanted to stop but I somehow managed to finish. I thought if the ending was good it would have redeemed this book but the ending was probably the worst part. To all those who recommended this book. frick you.

Unbroken is one of the best books I have ever read. Fom start to finish I couldn't put this book down. This was a very well written book. To those who haven't read this I highly suggest you get your arse to the book store and buy this.

Is the Road related to the movie of the same name?

I liked it ok. One of those depressing post-apocalyptic type movies that I'll never rewatch

Yes. I started reading that book about 6 years ago. I'm still on about page 50
