Officials believe they have found the body of a Louisiana woman whowent missing at the Grand Canyonearlier this year.

Family members reported Diana Zacarias of Natchitoches missing April 3.

She apparently was hiking the canyon alone. It's tragic that she died, but goddamn have the common sense not to hike the Grand Canyon alone.

I wonder if she fell and died or wandered around for days until the heat got her. That would be brutal.

Damn. I actually was reading an article today talking about long odds relative to the Powerball and one of the odds was the chance of getting murdered in the Grand Canyon.

Yep. There are certain things you should not do alone.

Scuba diving, mountain climbing, and hiking the Grand Canyon to name a few.

Well to be fair, this wouldn't have helped anything except them finding her body earlier...

Isn't there a stat that 1 out of every 14,000 people that visit the Grand Canyon die there?

I don't remember the actual number but I think I remember reading 14,000.

Very sad. Who knows what she was thinking. Hiking into the canyon in general can be very dangerous, and there are warning signs everywhere on the dangers.
