She's 66 years old, a model prisoner, and has long since repudiated Manson and acknowledged her guilt. What do you think?

Here she is back in the day. I just realized she looks not unlike my SO in this pic

I am OK with it. She seems truly rehabilitated, no reason to keep paying for her if they weren't going to execute her.

I saw a documentary on her a few years ago. She does seem to have completely turned herself around but she already had her death sentence commuted. Parole is a bit much for someone who was an active participant and actually asked to be a part of the murders.

Just so this thread isn't only about the model prisoner.

Jay Sebring and Sharon Tate. Sebring died trying to protect 9 month pregnant Sharon. She died begging her murderers to spare the life of her unborn child.

So Sharon Tate and others still lie in a grave 47 years on.
Sorry, she stays in prison. Not one day of freedom she deserves.

The murder of Tate was horrendous. I don't have an issue with her staying where she is.

Hey she killed a woman who was pregnant because she thought it was far out and groovy.

It's not like she got drink and accidently killed a person.

Hell no. Everyone involved should rot IMHO. When a pregnant woman is hacked to death in cold blood, I start having some issues with it.

FWIW she wasn't part of the Tate murders. She was convicted of murdering the Labiancas the next night.

I read the article. Okay, she stabbed someone 14 times. Stil...there's no coming back from that. She doesn't deserve freedom. Let her do her good behind bars. She sounds like she's doing fine.

The next night, August 9, 1969, Manson again selected a group to commit murder. Van Houten was not chosen but asked to be allowed to go.

Krenwinkel and Van Houten found Rosemary LaBianca in a bedroom, to which she had retired while her husband had fallen asleep while reading in the living room. Watson put a pillowcase over Leno's and Rosemary LaBianca's heads, then tied the electrical cord from a lamp around their necks. Rosemary started struggling; meanwhile, her husband, who had been tied up in the living room, started screaming as Watson began stabbing him. Rosemary grabbed the lamp and swung it at Van Houten, who fought with her and knocked the lamp away. Van Houten then held LaBianca down while Krenwinkel tried to stab her in the chest, but the blade bent on LaBianca's clavicle. Van Houten called for assistance from Watson, who entered the bedroom and stabbed Rosemary LaBianca several times. He then found Van Houten, handed her the knife, and told her to "do something" (since Manson had instructed Watson to make sure everyone actively participated). Van Houten stabbed Rosemary's lower back and buttocks over a dozen times. Van Houten later told Dianne Lake that she had stabbed someone who was already dead. The autopsy indicated that some of the 47 stab wounds Rosemary suffered had been inflicted post-mortem
