Look at adding a purple martin house to your yard. Those suckers are fun to watch fly as they dive bomb flying insects.
A blue bird box is another one to get. Get to watch them from making their nest in the box, checking the box for eggs that soon become little baby birds etc.

but they are trapped in the sky. they have to fly every where they go. except road runners

Birds are bad arse. They can be very aggressive for being so small though
