I have some winning tickets/wagers I placed during football season. The tickets are only valid for 120 days past the event. The 120 day mark is coming up soon but the casinos are closed in Biloxi and I cannot reach anyone on the phone.

Does anyone have any idea if they'll honor these winnings when they do open?

Can't you mail them to the casino to claim the winnings?

Yes you'll be able to collect your money once the casino reopens. You should have mailed it in instead, but I collected my winnings the weekend before they shut down.

I still have Masters tickets that are refundable

I would also like to know the answer to this. I have a futures ticket on LSU to win the National Championship that I need to cash. I had reservations to stay at the Beau Rivage in April, but of course they cancelled them.

Which casino was it? I believe none of them are independent, so I would probably try corporate for the one that runs that particular casino

Hard Rock. I try calling but just get the voicemail. I'll try the corporate office tomorrow.

You are gonna need some way of proving you tried to cash out before the deadline. If calling corporate doesn’t work, I would send a certified letter telling them (nicely) what your problem is.

The MS Gaming Commission would probably give you an answer. Since they shut down the casinos they probably have some kind of rule in place or will have for all the State regulated casinos. Common sense says they extend it however many days the Casinos were closed but we are talking about a Govt Agency

Like another suggested, contact corporate by phone or try emailing. If you can't get in touch with anyone by Monday, follow the instructions on the back of ticket for mailing it.

I believe you have to send winning tickets of that value via registered mail. You should be covered by the postmark proving you attempted to cash it within the 120 day limit. Take a picture of the winning ticket(s) -- front and back.

The casino will mail you a check.

Send me the tickets. I will run over there when they open and let you know if they honor them or decline them.

You sound like a moron for waiting that long to cash after winning a big bet.
