Bill Maher is definitely not the worst guy around these days. One of the more intelligent Democrats with a platform these days. Takes guts to disagree with the crowd and he has done so quite a bit in the last decade or so.

Bill Maher is a libertarian liberal who believes strongly in the First Amendment. His politics are very similar to those of Hugh Hefner. He does not like woke nor does he like party hack hypocrisy.

I've always liked and respected Maher. I haven't always agreed with him but he's stayed consistent and hasn't given into the woke crowd.

I still have reservations about Maher, and certainly don't think he's conservative, but I do respect people that will call out blatant evil like he did last night.
He spent a good bit of time talking about Hamas supporters and what a shite show the Democratic convention is going to be in Chicago of all places this summer.
I don't agree with him about everything, but respect his point of view. I think he's one of few liberals these days that will debate his stance and that's a place we need to get back to in this country on both sides.

Maher hasn't changed much over the years, the center of the Left has moved so far to the Left that he seems to be to the Right. Elon encapsulated this movement perfectly a while back with this tweet:
Maher's biggest failure is his lack of owning up to having been part of the woke movement at times, instead he ends up lecturing against the movement as if he had always been against it.
