"I've held three moms this week," said Keon Preston, president of Stop the Violence Baton Rouge. "But you know what's more sad? We continue to see more shooting. … We got to put a stop to this."

quote:

Preston said one problem is that black people people don't get upset when there's a shooting involving two black people, but people were protesting this summer after a white police officer shot Alton Sterling. "What's the difference between a white man shooting my brother and my brother shooting my brother?" Preston asked. "This moment right here is not shocking to me. Black lives must matter to black people before they matter to other people."

thats how they keep everyone miserable. when one crab tries to leave the bucket, there are a dozen crabs ready to grab him and stop him from getting away. its a tragedy

Comments on the link are completely missing the forest for the trees by focusing on guns.

There's nothing wrong with owning a gun for protection. It's the culture of responding to even minor things like being "dissed" with bullets that is the problem. Not the ownership in itself.

He's no longer black. That's the rule.

I love that analogy. Kind of like when someone at work tries to better themselves and the others are like "who he think he is?"
