Jackson seemed to be falling apart during my last visit. When the Hampton Inn is in the hood you know it's a problem.

Even the nice areas are getting infiltrated. I live in the Reservoir area and there have been a lot of break ins. These are neighborhoods where people leave their doors unlocked.

The boundaries that used to keep you safe around here don't exist anymore.

From a google image search...

Little Rock, Arkansas

Jackson, Mississippi

Little Rock is probably the better bet.

Madison is the place to live in Jackson.
Little rock is meh, I stay downtown every time so that's all I really know about it.

LR has some nice parts. How much will you be making? Wife, kids? Willing to commute?

Little Rock. I lived in Cabot, AR for 6 years and I wouldn't hesitate to move back. Little Rock is not bad at all.

Such great advice given to you so far. Just make most of your LSU fans happy and suffer in Jackson.

Little Rock easily. It's really not a bad town.

Lots of cool stuff going on downtown, tons of outdoor activities with the rivers running all through town.

I find it hard to believe there could be a town more awful than Jackson, MS.

I kid you not, there is a boil water notice maybe 3 times a month in Jackson. You drive downtown and there is always a fire hydrant busted. Residents complaining because they are getting sick and receiving water bills as much as $1,700 a month.

The city is poorly managed and it has no money. It's like Detroit on a much smaller scale.

There is really only one city that is worse than Jackson, imo, and that is Montgomery, Alabama.

Little Rock sits on some beautiful country.

I'm guessing most of the turds posting have never been there.
