I had a water leak in garage and need to get rid of some mold. Is Jomax and bleach still a good solution or do they make something better now?

Burn your garage down, no more mold.

Add some hydrogen peroxide after the bleach.

There are several products that kill mold. Kilz will cover/kill that crap too
Don't waste your money having an "expert" do it for you

I'm not paying someone to kill mold. I just wanted to see what products work best.

Tilex or something similar makes a spray that is mixed with bleach and shite that will remove it, then take you some Kilz and slap it over where the mold was. Get you a fan or two and move some air over where the mold was and let that shite air out. Problem solved. I've had to do this same thing in my upstairs bathroom.

Jomad and bleach works great on my exterior brick

Do NOT use bleach. Bleach is 90% water and can actually fuel mold growth. Use an antibicrobial which can be found at any hardware store.

How to kill mold the EFFECTIVE way: bleach will not kill the mold entirely. Molds have roots (hyphae) and bleach’s ion structure stops chlorine from penetrating porous materials, therefore when you spray all the chemicals are going to stay on top of your surface while the water part of the solution just soaks through. The EPA quotes “the use of chlorine bleach is not recommended as a routine practice for mold clean up” So what works? It may surprise you to know that the most effective way to remove mold is most likely in your pantry..it’s vinegar! Straight vinegar kills about 82 percent of mold spores and also prevents future mold if you spray it on the surface and allow it to dry.
