I will say I have a new favorite way to get protein

It's allied muscle egg, buy it by the jug. The vanilla tastes like eggnog and the chocolate tastes like chocolate milk. Only need to drink 1 cup at a time

We already tried HGH. The only thing that got bigger was his head. They've had to order him a special helmet that's not even the same color as the other players'.

I haven't paid attention to supplements lately because I haven't had a need to. Now, my son is playing high school football and is trying to add strength, mass, and weight. What's the best supplement (powder preferably) out there that won't break me?

1. Whey protein
2. Creatine
3. Tell him to bust his arse in the weightroom
4. budweiser always helped me to add mass

The kid probably produces more test than everyone on this thread. Seriously, lots of clean protein and whey. Creatine. Bust arse in the off season. Trying to make gains during the season is practically impossible because of practice and being banged up half the time.

Now I'm not sure if you're really that stupid or if you're just trying to get even.

So you didn't fill your kid full of hgh and make his head swell?

If not, your sarcasm sucks.

Exactly, I had a coach one season that made us do full offseason/powerlifting workouts on mon-thur during the season and he wondered why we were always hurt and complaining. Next season a coach that only made us do light workouts and we won 5 games more the next season with far fewer injuries.

The offseason is where your son will make his strides in strength and muscle mass.

Of course not! I was just responding to their idiotic suggestions in kind.

Thanks to the serious responders. Whey protein looks like the thing.

creatine

whey protein

good gummy multivitamin

Zinc chrome pill like Zbec maybe c0 10

bananas are great as are blueberrys

i would recommend a milkshake in am and before he goes to bed or post workout. those post work drinks are great too filled with amino etc but buy them wholesale online by the case.

I made a chocolate malt like beverage with raw eggs and protein powder with a banana. I went from a skinny 150 pound weakling to a 185 lb beast I did Bench way over 300lbs though so I got strength and speed but never could gain much weight. Wish that lasted.

Weight gainer

Whey and amino acids for post workout

Creatine and caffeine for pre-workout (if creatine is still allowed)

Casein or at least 2% milk for a late night snack

Lots of simple carbs around his workouts (e.g. fruits), lots of complex carbs at each meal (e.g. leafy greens, whole grains), lots of chicken, fish, lean beef, and beans.

Almonds or cashews to snack on during the day.

A kid in high school trying to gain weight will probably have to consume a shitload of food. I was 6'2" 195lbs and ate like it was my job. Of course, I ate like shite, but that's not the point. I'd say probably over 3000 calories a day at least, but that's just a guess.

Come on, man. Seriously? 300 pound bench is massive at any weight. What are you, like 5'2" with a wingspan of 4'8" and a barrel chest?

Just get a good protein and buy in bulk. Possibly creatine as well, which btw is harmless despite some people acting like it's some scary drug

I'm no strongman, but my best friend is one of the leading tacklers on a top 25 college team in the country. While genetics plays a role, he always swore by creatine, whey protein, and very simply, a proper diet. He spent unreal amounts of time researching nutrition and dieting to get the results he wanted. It got to the point where it was almost crazy, but has worked out well for him. I advise your son to spend the time researching and learning about nutrition and muscle growth. There is no magic pill that will make things change over night.

Muscle or monster milk. Peanut butter. Chicken and tuna. Drink water and milk and lots of fruit and veggies. Whey protein works. I went from 150 to 180 over the summer going to my junior year with muscle mile and peanut butter.
