I have YoutubeTV using Chromecast for youtube tv and it's money. additionally, I would pay for other streaming services like Netflix regardless of using cable or not so I don't factor that into monthly costs.

We have YouTube TV, Netflix, Prime and HBOMax. The latter came free with ATT internet service. Once football season is over I will cancel YouTube TV as that’s the only reason we have it. Being able to cancel at anytime - thus only paying for half a year - is the main advantage.

For sports, I've found there really isn't a comparison to a package like Youtube TV or Hulu Live. Not sure what these services that offer full packages are gonna do once certain sports hit certain platforms exclusively.
I just don't want to watch most networks. Anything really important is on NBC/FOX/CBS over the air. All the good shows are on streaming platforms. This isn't really a money thing more than it is a content thing. I've tried to just flip on YouTube TV when there aren't any sports on and it's garbage. Even if there is a good movie on or something, I can just go rent it on Amazon for 2.99 and get better quality and no commercials. And that's if it isn't free somewhere else.
From August to December we have:
YTTV
Hulu
Netflix
Prime
Discovery+
We watch these on our Roku TV, which I like a lot. Take away YTTV from January to August.
If you wanna be a cord cutter and still get sports, its tough, but it can be done. You have to know what to click on and what to avoid or you can really frick your computer up. But it's pretty easy to avoid if you've been doing it for a while. Especially for NFL, I rarely watch a game that isn't on a stream, because I'm always getting San Francisco or Seattle games up here on the local networks.

I do sling with sports package. Just download the espn app for watching football. I usually cancel after the season. $46.

Check out IPTV. You'll have to Google it....for reasons I won't dive into here. I pay $10/month and get basically every channel, can watch ANY football game I want, and PPV for free.
But, you didn't hear that from me.

Register and pay for a Real-Debrid account. I forget the cost, but, maybe $30 a year or so. Log into Real Debrid in the Cinema settings. If you need help, check out Troypoint.
They do a great job at explaining everything you need to know to cut the cord. Either way, it provides the high quality links you need to watch anything, no buffering either.
I had not heard of this.
Our only viewing interest is college sports, so the streaming needs are:
ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SECN, FS1 (can use antenna for major network telecasts)
Would Real Debrid handle live streaming of those 5 networks? TIA

Anyone have a good alternative?
Stop watching tv, it’s a huge waste of time.

Started with YouTube TV about 6 months ago and while there aren’t issues with the service, it’s around $65/month and doesn’t seem like a great value.
Youtubetv is dropping all NBC channels at midnight tonight and dropping the price to $55 until they reach a deal.
NBC is trying to force youtube to package peacock online with youtube. It won't operate within the yttv app. You'll have to leave yttv and open the peacock app to watch anything on NBC.
So far yt has told NBC to go **** themselves.

Yeah, why the downvotes for Sling. It’s cheaper than YouTube tv for ESPN. I watch games OTA with antenna or use sling to log into ESPN apps. I’m only interested in college football. Will cancel after the season.
