I have always purchased Michelins; however, I am not sure I want to spend as much this time, but will if nothing will compare; which always seems to the case. Michelins are always in balance and rarely need any weight at all.

I was informed the other day that Bf Goodrich is now owned by Michelin. So, I guess for the experts our there, does that mean that these BF Goodrich's are as good as the Michelins - basically is it a Michelin with the BFG name on it?

My size i need is a 215 50 R17 XL 95V I need a Grand Touring All-Season Tire. Thanks

Continental seems to make a solid tire with good tread life and ratings for a more affordable price.

if that makes you feel comfortable but it's unnecessary TBH. I was a mechanic for well over a decade and for passenger tires i liked Bridgestone. Nothing wrong with Michelin. Way overpriced for nothing honestly.

well if you know you ain't keeping the car past the lifespan of tires, go cheap as frick cause they don't give you extra for better tires.

Not exactly. The technology used in a Michelin is still far superior to the BFG.

Other comments:
1. Michelin is always the way to go. You are gonna get a better ride, more mileage, and better fuel efficiency.
2. Don't buy Continental. It's shite.

I bought a set of BF Goodrich two years ago, and they are the only tires I have ever disliked and I can't wait to get rid of them. I doubt that is representative of the brand, just this particular tire (BFG Advantage T/A).

I have read that Michelin and Continental are the best.

I have always bought relatively inexpensive known brands - generally whatever is on sale. I am not racing them. There is a good chance one will puncture. Etc. I have never regretted that until now and may change my philosophy going forward.

If you got 4 last time just get right sides this time. You'll have a much faster stop.

Recently put some Bridgestone tires on my Sierra (Alenza H/L, so not frat) and they ride great. So much smoother than the pirelli set I had on previously

Stick with Michelin! I have used them for over 35 years. I once let a salesman talk me into something cheaper and I really really regretted it!

Pep Boys recently had Michelin on sale for 42% off! I think it was around Memorial Day.

I bought 4 and they are in my garage. Will have them mounted next month.

When I go new car shopping, the deciding factor is if the car comes with Michelin tires.

P.S. Once you go Michelin you will never go back.

You. Your opinion is one formed from owning Michelins on your personal vehicles right? Guy asked for an expert opinion.

Every major brand has a generic line. I have been using Fuzion which is a house brand for Bridgestone.

All that matters is how the tires perform in real life. I give you 35 years experience. I used to drive until I heard glass break and smelled sh*t.

Michelin are not prone to blowouts and have great lateral stability - in case you have to change lanes quickly.

Please say something else stupid.

How so, sir? Have almost 60K on them with a good bit of tread left. Never been stuck in mud/sand/snow and they handle wet roads great. So what's the issue?

My OEM tires were Pirelli. Switched to Continental and they seem to be solid so far.
