Heard this deal on the radio this morning. How many remember it spelled "BerenstAin"?

It wasn't. I was about to correct you. Spelled with an "e".

I would have argued with you until hell froze over that it was BarenstEIN, and I would apparently have been wrong

I thought it was Stein, but I will be the Bigger Bear and admit I was wrong.

I'm one of the few people on earth, apparently, native to this A universe. Which goes a long way to explain why I'm just so much better than everyone else.

If you asked me to spell it today, before this thread, I would have definitely used an "e". But now that I'm thinking about it, I do remember thinking it was spelled weird as a kid.

I thought the same thing which was why it caught my attention when it was being discussed on air. I was also well past my youth before I ever figured out that "Poinsettia" has that extra "i" on the end . . .

This is what's known as the "Mandela Effect"

It's supposed to be a product of alternate universes. How can THAT many people remember something the wrong way.

I looked futher into the Berenstain bears (which I would have sworn was STEIN), and found this:

quote:

Anyway, I just wanted to point out an interesting thing I just noticed. I went to LinkedIn and just out of curiosity, I typed in "Berenstein Bears", and 23 people have them listed on their LinkedIn resumes. From graphic artists to producers to game designers.
How can so many people, who are close to these characters from having worked on them in some way, have it wrong on their professional online resumes?
On the other hand, when I type in "Berenstain Bears", only 1 hit comes up. For Mike Berenstain who now publishes the books. (There are a few companies related to Berenstain Bears, but no other people).

Which is a solid point.
