I've been without power for a week and a half in an ice storm and I've been without power for two weeks in the summer from a hurricane. Both are bad, but in different ways. Was easier to sleep during the winter, but sucked when you were awake. Sucks to sleep in the summer, but bearable during the day because you can go outside. Whiskey helps equally well in both situations.

I am just north of the high school and mine has blinked several times. Generator is loaded in my work truck if I need it.
