How has no one said this:

BR is just the convergence point of the south central LA creoles and the New Orleans hipsters. Perfect spot for a turf war. Wouldn't want it in their own backyards.

Every house in BR with a black family is considered NBR, didn't you hear?

The city murder rate dropped 27% in 2013 and is on pace for another significant decrease this year.
But go ahead and keep being an ignoramus who doesn't even understand the difference between comparative and superlative forms of adjectives.

The black community leaders just need to hold another candle lit vigil. That ALWAYS helps.

I guess it's just easier for some to think of it like it were a different city than to come to grips with the fact that it is where they live. That's another pattern, a pattern of avoiding it by not thinking about it or dealing with it.
I have always gotten a kick out of the whole NBR/SBR thing. At one point Florida Blvd was used to distinguish NBR blue collar from SBR white collar. BRHS and Istrouma, etc. Then over time the demographics shifted as whites moved out and bought homes elsewhere, NBR was used to classify black and white areas, and crime from the "real BR" people identified with, and considered Baton Rouge. And now the border is at I-12, or as you say, anywhere where crime is found. The real comedy will come if and when St. George becomes a reality. Then it will be NSG and SSG

Unfortunately, the root of the problem derives from one common denominator, African Americans

It's per capita violent crimes. So, it is quality. That is the definition of safe. I guess Monroe isn't safe.

Yea, well that isn't a reliable way of looking at it because of the differences in how crimes are reported or classified in different jurisdictions.
Thanks for the shitty link.

I don't think that's fair. They constitute roughly half the population. If it were the case, you couldn't walk outside without being hit by a stray bullet or one with your name on it.
It is a very real segment of their population, that's to be sure, but there are as many black people I run into on a daily basis as upset and very much wanting this shite to end as the whites are, even more so because it's more personal for them, and they have to contend with it more than whites do.
Truth is, the real victims in all this, besides those shot, are the grandmas, grandpas, moms, and dads who own homes in those neighborhoods, work hard and just want to make a way for themselves, but are held captives by this counter culture thug group within their population. To think that blacks on a whole put their stamp of approval on this shite is just nonsense. They just don't know what to do about it, just like whites. The people who should and could do something about it are too busy with traffic violations to grab this shite by the neck and come down hard on them for one reason or another, and I don't necessarily put that blame on them as the leadership who dictates what they go after. I'm glad to see they got a bunch of the thugs rounded up recently when they went after that gang, but only after a threat was made and they made good on their promise, and that just goes to show me that they can do this. We just have to get real serious about it and do it.

In other words Baton Rouge really is turning into New Orleans.
