Yeah that car was really dusty. Bet it was some chick posing by the car.

On one of the older Jeeps we saw...they had slapped the sold sticker directly on the hood on the paint. I would have been pissed if I bought that and they slapped the sticker there.

ETA: you see the dolphin Viper pic I posted?

How many days does it legit take to look at all the cars?

We have always just gone for one day and saw several of the cars. We would hit the main tent and all of the smaller outdoor tents(there were 6 of them this year). Even those tents are huge though.

However...you have to remember...as we are looking at the cars in the tents...cars are going to the block or coming back from the block and not in the tent. Or...the car is gone because the buyer has already shipped it out. So there is no way we saw all of the cars there. (Ex: I really did look for the Grand National Twinz being auctioned cause a poster requested it...never saw them.).

So if you want to really see all the cars your best bet is to go the first weekend before the auction and see them. Then come back the following weekend for all the excitement of the Friday/Saturday auctions.

ETA: And that doesn't factor in time you would want to hang out in the main auction tent. Or all the cars there not being auctioned but there for various vendors.

My grandfather said it makes him sick thinking to when he was a teen they’d buy a car out of salvage and get it running and just destroy it...said he never imagined how much those could have been worth one day

Back in high school I had a job sacking groceries after school. There were several high school guys that worked there and the rides we had were incredible. I had a 75 el Camino classic. Air shocks and jacked up in the back. Aluminum mags with 60s on the back and 70s on the front. It was a nice ride for a high school kid.

Some of the other rides of other high school workers were even better.

69 leMans.
70 442. Candy apple green
73 gray road runner
75 challenger
70 firebird formula 400
78 z28
75 mustang II White with blue racing stripes
74 Monte Carlo
73 442
69 ford Fairline

Good times!

Of course I graduated in 81 so these were just late model used cars back then.
