That dude has to be dead, and I hope the other one is on death row.

Why is he out on bail?

Rich white family? I am guessing he will be convicted of manslaughter...something similar. I don't agree with it but it wouldn't shock me.

$50k BOND on a murder charge?
wow.
wow.

All signs point there. Someone's dad knows the judge

Guy will say he feared for his life and get off.

Texas has a "stand your ground" law?
If he gets off, then the Justice system is a joke.

I'm sure TX does, but I don't see how it applies here. The guy ran into his apartment and grabbed the murder weapon - will probably file 2nd degree murder and plea down to manslaughter.

I would think they would have been the first to have a law like this.

Money buys great defense lawyers. Suspect will be portrayed as a good white kid. Jury will sympathize with defendant but still want some justice....less than 10 yrs. Probably less than 4 yrs served

He did not go to LSU.
I was very good friends with the victim growing up in elementary school.
Sorry for your loss. A bunch of my LSU friends from NOLA have been sharing this on FB and apparently knew him well, I'm not sure where from if he didn't go to LSU though.

yes, but

The guy ran into his apartment and grabbed the murder weapon
which should make it hard to successfully assert this defense.
