Eagle vs fully grown male bobcat. The eagle is allowed to fly but he must engage the bobcat.

Bobcats can get to be 40 lbs and have quick reflexes

Eagles have serious talons and flight

Does the cat have all 9 lives? It's important.

Everyone also knows that they have 8 more lives to waste. Bald eagle is screwed.

I get bored at work but some of these threads make me wonder what the hell y'all are doing at 3:47 pm on Thursdays.

I'll go with Bobcat if Eagle can't "touch and go" all day on the cat.

bobcats aint no fricking joke, but the eagle has the advantage with flight and the high ground.

But isn't that the whole point of speculating who would win?

If the bald eagle has to stay on the ground, that kind of misses the whole point of it being a bald eagle.

Bobcat 40 lbs

Bald eagle 14 lbs, lifting weight of 5 lbs.

Lean is to bobcat

Golden eagles would be different

Depends on how the fight started. If the Eagle gets a jump on the bobcat then it could sink these talons into the bobcat's neck and mortally wound it before the bobcat even knows it is in a fight.

It can sink those talons in at about 1,000 psi.

Well the eagle can fly but just dive bombing from altitude would be unfair unless Bobberdoodles got lucky grasp.

Let's say 10 feet ceiling while engaging. I say bobberdoodles. Eagle gets tired and is smaller
