He had to have had a knife or a weapon. I don’t believe he fought a lion for an hour and a half and lived.
This sounds a lot like an African version of a bass fishing story.

And people on this site say a trained fighter couldn’t beat up a chimp in a ring

This guy reads the OT and took one of those "who would win a fight" threads a little too serious.

It is being reported the lion was given CPR for nearly 40 minutes and has been taken to a local veterinary clinic where it has made a full recovery.

In a statement from the vet, the lion has said, “We’ll all hear from the lion real soon. “

90 minutes meaning the lion would leave and come back several times?

It’s 2023 and not a single video of an altercation lasting over an hour?

This is a freakin lion. Not a UFO.

In that part of Africa it's not really 2023

Dude has lifetime leverage:

Wife: I told you to take out the trash!!!

Badass: I would have, but my arms are sore from that time I saved you by killing a lion.

There is zero chance a human being killed a male lion with his bare hands. Maybe the lion was sick? Even then, a human isn’t strong enough to strangle or punch through the tough skin/fat layer of a lion.
