I did that to mine while picking my niece up out of her car seat. fricking killed me for like a week. It's a muscle strain most likely. Go see an oerthepedist to make sure and get some pain pills and or muscle rlaxers.

Hand to God. If you only just strained a muscle, take a couple ibuprofen tablets. (I take Advil because it has a sweet coating on it!) The reason for taking Advil is 1) pain relief and 2) it relieves inflammation.

The next thing to do is get off your arse and start moving around. The worse thing you can do is lie in bed or sit around on your arse.

So if you do what I say, you being doing lots better in three days. Lie around on you arse and you will be suffering for a couple of weeks.

I speak from experience. The more you move around the better you will feel. Popping those Advils for the first two to three days makes it easier.

ETA: Yes, a heating pad will help, but honest to God, you'll get better a lot faster by doing yard work. That will keep your muscles warm.

Ken Coleman. Capital city chiropractor

I didn't believe in that business and thought it was hocus pocus. I was so bad off with back spasm and couldn't walk I got desperate.

One visit, I was walking. Two visits and I was back to normal.

I'm pretty sure that it is a muscle. I can make it hurt with certain motions. At first it was excrutiating; now, it just hurts really bad.

Btw, I think I'll use some of the things that have caused you guys to strain your back when somebody asks how it happened. Lol.

Thanks.

It happened to me last month. Excruciating pain from reaching in to pick a tomato that was in the center of my garden. I felt that twinge that usually precedes a strained back muscle. I seriously thought I'd never be able to walk again it was so bad. Used the heating pad that normally fixes it in two days to no avail. Did Advil to the point of almost overdosing. Worked everyday through the pain too.
Finally, eight days into the worst back ache of my life, my 15 year old son suggested trying cold packs on it instead of heat. It was a miraculous recovery. Within two days I was back to normal. I never want that shite to happen again.
