When that robot dog gets to version 3.0 or 4, it may become the perfect robot dog.

It has the potential to be better than a real dog:
No popping or pissing
No feeding other than a morning recharge
No vet bills
Freedom to travel without boarding fees or a pet sitter
No worry about lawsuits if the dog gets out and bites some kid
Not likely to hump or get raped by other dogs
More reliable keeping my perimeter secure at night and will have video documentation
