looking online at 1st choice auto in hammond and they have a lot of decent vehicles. What is the process to an auto auction and can you really save some $$$?

I would check Louisiana dmv. You need a dealer license to even attend most of those auctions

Absolutely I have contacts (in another state) vehicles are def cheaper, but all as is and you don't get a lot of time to really check out. Basically you can start it and that's it
Eta: I have attended several and have no license, some may not require. I would think the big ones such as Barrett Jackson just have a buy in

Should be able to attend you just need to find someone to get you in. Ones that don't require dealer license may be less reputable flooded cars etc

There are times you can get a great deal, but prices are going to go up. Used car dealers about to go HAM on these auctions.
