Wait - you all believe what I posted actually happened?
Yes, I believe that the German government engaged in the systematic murder of civilians on an industrial scale. I believe the German government conducted "medical" experiments on unwilling human subjects. I know people, some still alive but most now dead, with tattoos from German concentration camps. I believe the accounts of their experiences, and their stories of family members and friends who did not survive the war.

I believe the accounts of the U.S. servicemen who liberated concentration camps and visited them in the aftermath of the war. I believe the accounts of German civilians who claim to have been aware of the existence of the camps, but who claim to have become aware of their purposes only after the war. But most of all I believe the testimony of those who participated in some of the atrocities. Those people freely admitted what they did, usually with the justification that they were following orders.

So, terd ferguson, the historical fact that the Nazis murdered 400,000 Hungarian Jews in only a few mths at Auschwitz doesn't give any credence to the total number of Jews murdered in the Holocaust? 30,000 Jews were murdered in only a few days at Babi Yar. When the ovens at Auschwitz were burning over 10,000 Jews a day, for mths & mths & mths, according to testimony from Nazi guards, that also doesn't serve to give credence to the total number murdered? A direct quote, then, from Adolf Eichmann after being sentenced to death for his role in the Holocaust might help you understand the numbers better: "I will leap into my grave laughing, knowing I helped murder 6 million Jews". etc etc etc
