AT&T: no overages now

I was previously on a 5 or 6 GB plan but then they announced there are no more overages, with the stipulation that once you use your allowed data your speed will decrease and you can't send pictures or stream music. I dropped to a 3 GB plan to test it out. Just logged into my account and it says all my data has been used (kids streamed Netflix on a trip to MS last weekend so I'm sure that used a lot) but I haven't noticed any change in speed or function. Didn't even know my data was used until I just randomly checked.
Is this too good to be true? Why would anyone pay for a higher amount of GB now? I don't understand the strategy here.

AT&T is a POS. I just got off the phone for the third time trying to get my bill straight. If I hadn't hounded them they would have over charged me.

because you want to be able to do all that shite.

Streaming music is pretty much the only thing I use data for.

Left AT&T because of overage bullshite and am so glad I did. Never going back.

They will automatically add 1 GB for $15 to your bill.

They have, hands down, the worst customer service and inept billing department on planet earth.
