I was 30 and very unhappy with my life. Went back to college to obtain a Master's degree (which I earned at 33. Opened doors for me and I am not much better off for going back.
My only advice is that if you go back make sure you commit all the way. IF you half arse it changes are that you won't finish.

I went back at 28 when I discovered the glass ceiling stages at my profession, no matter what company I worked at. Topped out, I would've been making around $50k/yr, but when I started, I was making $27k.
Bills came, didn't have the money, looked at my projected future growth both personal and professional wise, and decided I had to switch careers. Only other passion was engineering, so that's what I did
