That is Walmart's new name for the greeters. Yup, they are bringing back the greeters. Imagine that. People were walking out the door with cartloads of stuff when no one was watching. WSJ this morning.

I pay for the perk of being inspected at the door every time I leave Costco. But I haven't been inside The Wal Marks or The Sams in a long time. Not long enough, but a long time.

I used to keep walking and ignore the receipt checkers but every time there was a real cop right there who told me to stop. Wasn't worth the fuss so I complied. Now I shop elsewhere.

I've never seen a cop sitting there... but I just ignore the "asset protection customer specialist" and keep walking.
